Three. I don't have a three year old to do a cute photo of and my three men didn't want to be my models so I had to come up with something else. There are some sunflowers, leftover from our summer garden, that are still standing. They aren't bright and pretty and their heads are hanging low covered with snow. I still think they are beautiful. They haven't given up even though this winter is not the time of year that they shine. I have been watching them all season, just waiting to see if they are going to break with the wind or under the pressure of the snow. They have stood strong weathering the harshness of winter. It's amazing how something so simple can be inspiring. So here they are in all of their withered, weathered glory. Not their usual colorful face to the sun selves but they are still standing anyway.
I think I might like to be a little like a sunflower!
